What I've been loving lately...

Dec 30, 2013

I got this pair of Tiffany blue heart stud earrings from Forever 21 a few weeks back and they have been my favorite accessory to wear pretty much all the time. I constantly get compliments on them and everyone always asks where they're from. They're just too freaking cute! And like most of F21's accessories, they weren't expensive at all....about $2. I know, right?

How cute is this mug? I picked this one out at Hobby Lobby before Christmas and have been using it pretty much all the time. I absolutely adore it. I think my favorite part about it is the little gingerbread man on the top of the handle!

One of my favorite things about fall and winter time is the amazing smelling candles that Bath&Body Works comes out with each year. My hubby and I picked this one out a few days ago and I can't wait to burn it! It smells absolutely amazing...almost reminds me of my husbands cologne...but in a candle! So warm and cozy smelling!

This last little cutie is another one of my impulse mug purchases. I may have a slight coffee mug addiction! I saw this one at Target a few weeks ago and I immediately popped it in my cart. They had a few other colors on display...a red one and a yellow one I believe but I really loved the color of this mug and I thought the simplicity of it was really cute. Perfect for a nice hot cup of coffee in the mornings!

Crown Brush HD Set // Review

Dec 28, 2013

Hi dolls! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and have been enjoying all their gifts! A few weeks before Christmas time I was sent this lovely brush set to review from Crown Brush. It's their HD Professional Brush Set* and it comes in 3 different colors to choose from; white and blue, purple, and orange. I absolutely adore this set! I think the colors are so cute and bright and I love that it comes in a cute little zipper case. The tools included in this set are a pair of tweezers, a pro powder brush, a tapered brush, deluxe contour brush, a crease blender, chisel shadow brush, and a detail liner brush. I have been using this set for the last few weeks and I really love it so far! The brushes are soft but dense enough to hold product and they apply smoothly to the skin.

You can get them on the Crown Brush website for about $27.

Modcloth Little Black Dress Competition

Dec 21, 2013

Modcloth

Hi everyone! Today I'm doing a fun little post that I wanted to share with you all! Recently I was contacted by Modcloth to participate in a contest that they have currently going on their Polyvore page which involves styling and accessorizing their gorgeous Committee Celebration Dress and I think it turned out really quite pretty! I adore this dress so much! It's the perfect little black dress, very classic, chic, and so feminine. I had the absolute hardest time trying to decided what to style this dress with because everything on their site is just so cute! Finally after much debating, I ended up going with a pair of stunning Betsy Johnson black lace high heels to keep the classy and sophisticated style of the dress. As for accessories I went pretty simple with a pair of gold pearl studded earrings with a mint stone in the middle and a matching ring. I think the mint color really accents the belt on the dress and also stays true to the very classic style of the dress. The last thing I wanted to pick out was a clutch. Can't go anywhere without something to hold all your beauty essentials! As soon as I saw the beaded bag I was in love an immediately added it to the outfit.

I really wanted to keep this look simple, classic, and elegant and hopefully I succeeded with that! I will definately be popping over to Modcloth a lot more often after seeing all of the amazing items they have over on their site!

Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder // Review

Dec 2, 2013

Hi dolls! Today I'm reviewing one of my new favorite products, the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in Highlight. Before I talk anymore about it, I want to apologize if some of the pictures are a little sloppy. This packaging is one of the hardest to photograph! On top of that, having no sun during the day doesn't help much either, but hopefully most of them aren't too awful.

So enough of my rambling and on to the review! I picked this little beauty up at Sephora a few weeks ago when I was looking for some new products to try. Surprisingly I've never tried any Laura Mercier products (I know, right?) so I thought I would start out with this gorgeous highlight powder. The first thing that caught my attention was how big it is! For $36 you really get what you pay for. As for the packaging, I absolutely love it! It's a bit bulky, but it looks expensive and tasteful so I love taking it out of my bag and touching up my makeup with it throughout the day.

The highlight powder has a slight gold sheen to it so when applied to the cheeks it gives a beautiful warm glow to your face. I also love putting a little bit on my cupids bow as well to brighten it up a bit. I really adore this powder for the winter time simply because it's soft but adds just enough to brighten up your cheeks and anywhere else you want to highlight. I have so many highlight powders, but honestly, out of all of them this one is by far my favorite of them all. I am definately going to be trying out more of Laura Mercier's products as well!
